The School of Professional Studies, Center for Academic Excellence and Support just concluded our Introduction to Teaching Excellence Workshop.
This event acclimated newer faculty and reacquainted returning faculty members to our School’s culture and teaching policies while providing a roadmap for excellence in teaching. Participants walked away with new skills to apply directly to teaching strategies to enhance students’ learning.
All faculty members who completed this workshop received a certificate and digital badge that indicates their dedication and serves as a retrievable credential.
In our commitment to supporting all teaching faculty and building a strong community, CAES, in collaboration with the The Office of Academic and Faculty Affairs (OAFA), and other parts of the school, support Faculty Development initiatives consisting of conferences, mentorship, programs, resource fairs, round table discussions, receptions and social gatherings. Our professional development track introduces faculty to emerging and effective instructional technologies that may be integrated into in-person and online teaching to enhance student learning.
Programs and activities are designed to be highly interactive and engaging while focusing on four main categories: Curriculum Development, Curriculum Delivery, Classroom Management and Faculty Community which includes a supportive mentoring body.
